Van Boi Beach (Bãi Vạn Bội)
Facing a small islet in a protected corner of Lan Ha Bay, Van Boi is famous for its calm, shallow water and fine white sand. Bounded by sheer rock faces, it is one of the premier locations in the bay for relaxing kayak stops and swimming.
Fact sheet
A quiet cove with turquoise water and small coral formations. Best visited by kayak or on private boat charters during mid to low tide.
What to expect at Van Boi
Because high limestone cliffs shield Van Boi from open-sea swells, the water here is as calm as a swimming pool. The shallow sandy seabed slopes gently, making it safe and enjoyable for swimmers of all abilities.
On clear sunny days between April and October, the water takes on a brilliant turquoise glow. Snorkelers can spot small hard corals, sea anemones, and coastal fish near the rocky edges.
